BEING IN CONSTANT, CONSCIOUS COMMUNION WITH CHRIST
Lord, as I grow old and my movement in this world shrinks, help my prayers expand, not shrink.

“Prayer is the way we write history before it happens. It’s like our prayers exit the dimension we call time, and we never know when, where, or how God will answer. But I know for sure there is no expiration date for prayer.”- Mark Batterson.
After seeing several doctors over the past year, I may need to limit my travel, especially overseas. So far, I have been able to train, coach, and consult in 18 countries. I am still coaching over Zoom and thankful for that means of expanding my reach, but being with them, absorbing some of their experience, and connecting our hearts may not be possible. But this morning, in my time with Jesus and in a phone call with a good friend, God painted me a fresh vision.
God has already supplied me, through His Spirit, with everything I need to partner with Him in prayer.
WHAT do I pray? – I have received the mind of Christ.
“But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.” 1 Corinthians 2:10-12 NLT
HOW do I pray? – I have been granted authority to approach and ask the Father in the name of the Son.
I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!” John 14:12-14 NLT
We can pray ANYTIME, in ANY PLACE, and we can expect His Spirit will WHISPER in our hearts, letting us discern God’s will. He will open our eyes to see what the Spirit sees so we may join hands with Him. It is like He places a photo in the eyes of our heart so we catch a glimpse of the Light defeating Darkness, Satan falling in judgment.
“Judgment will come because the ruler of this world has already been judged. “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me.’” John 16:11-15 NLT
With X-ray vision, we can see what is going on beneath the flesh and blood. We engage in spiritual battles with spiritual weapons. We observe, and our stomach knots up as we feel a taste of the compassion that Jesus felt when He saw people as sheep without a shepherd, under the influence of the thief who is stealing, killing, and destroying. We stand with Jesus in offering His LIFE flowing like a river overflowing its banks.
“Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” Ephesians 6:11-12, 18 NLT SO, LET US PRAY.
