“So if you are offering your gift there before the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go.  First be reconciled to your brother, and then come  and offer your gift.”  Matthew 5:23-24

My wife often has a reminder for me; a former teacher, “Don’t overthink it. Just do it.”

Jesus does not give any options or let me consider how I feel.  He just says, “You remember… Go.”  Don’t try to get lost in worship and push down the damaged relationship.  Jesus values reconciliation more than adoration.

Also, be single minded.  When you worship have one thing on your mind.  If you need to go be reconciled be single minded in going to your brother.  Jesus values our obedience to the thoughts on our life we recall.

BE STILL!  TAKE A RELATIONAL INVENTORY.  LOVING GOD IS ESSENTIAL BUT NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF A BROKEN RELATIONSHIP.
